Japanese sake-brewing and traditional monozukuri craftwork. KUME's special "kura" brand T-shirts.

The regional changing of the seasons, pure water, matured grains. Japanese “kura” sake breweries have the skills to receive all of these blessings and make full use of them.
Japanese sake-brewing—a culture to be passed on into the future. Each brewery creates its own aroma and flavor; no two are alike. So we have breathed our respect for these breweries into T-shirts with labels that beat with the hearts of the sake makers.
It will bring us great pleasure if visitors will enjoy the stories of the breweries narrated by these T-shirts—shirts that have been spun, woven and stitched here in this land—and touch a part of deepest Japanese culture.

The seven samurai on the back of this bottle are the “Seven Spears of Shizugatake”, who stormed and won the violent battle of Shizugatake in 1583 between Hashiba Hideyoshi (later known as Toyotomi Hideyoshi) and Shibata Katsuie. The seal engraving on the Japanese characters was created by Kitaoji Rosanjin while he was staying at the site of the battle and drinking Shichihonyari. The creators of this sake strive for a taste that can only be made in a small sake cellar and are devoted to the traditional way of fermenting through extreme cold.
