Butamajiro (pigarmadillo=pig+armadillo) were born out of japanese cypress. Shy and cute like Japanese people. Having legs as hard as chestnut trees, they walk around in the forest. The shell on their back are supple and smooth as japanese cypress.
They seem to give off something similar to “kakishibu”(=Japanese traditional lacker made of ferment persimmon ) Their size differs one another naturally. Some of those mature have crack in their body. Some of those, especially those young and reckless, may have “knothole” on their stomach. Vulnerable to ultraviolet rays. If exposed to the sun for a long time, they turn out to “romance gray” to guard themselves. Little by little, they grow old and rough, but you can make friend with them if you treat them kindly. As both human and the pigarmadillo live on the earth, we need mutual understanding!

“Butamasjiro” contains a big one and a small one together―parent and child.
